PURE goes to market
On September 21, we caught a 6am flight to Atlanta to attend our first VOW New World of Bridal Show at the AmericasMart where we got to see the Fall and Spring collections from many of the wedding gown designers!
After leaving our bags at our hotel, we followed a maze of hallways and bridges that connected the our hotel to the AmericasMart Buildings where the bridal market was being held. We picked up our badges at registration, and headed up to the 12th floor to visit all the bridal showrooms.
Our first stop was at Lillian West's showroom, where we received a private showing of their Spring/Summer 2017 collection. Lillian West's gowns are soft, flowing, light dresses that epitomize boho chic with design details including tiered skirts, earthy tones, floral and cotton laces and bell and blouson sleeves. We were mesmerized and put a lot of thought into picking just the right representation of this collection to showcase in our boutique! While we will have access to all the gowns in their collection, we picked the 8 gowns below to have in stock for our brides to try on!
We browsed a few more showrooms, attended a fashion show and had a yummy lunch courtesy of one of the the bridal vendors.
Before we left for market, we had put a lot of research and thought into which lines we wanted to have available in our boutique and had set up accounts with most of them prior to arriving in Atlanta, so our purpose with those collections was to see their gowns in person and make our final selections for our boutique. But we still needed to find one more designer to complete our vision.
After lunch, we visited the Badgley Mischka showroom and met the Creative Director of Badgley Mischka Bridal who personally gave us a private showing of their 2017 Badgley Mischka Bride Collection and their 2017 Belle Badgley Mischka Bridal Collection.
Total. Perfection.
We knew we had found the final piece we were looking for! Each gown we saw was more beautiful than the last. The craftsmanship and attention to detail blew us away! A few glasses of champagne later, we signed up to carry both collections and cannot wait until they begin arriving early next year!
After Badgley Mishka, we headed to the Watters showroom to preview the new WToo Spring 2017 Collection and make our selections. Our job was made more difficult by the fact that the entire collection was whimsical and romantic and brought a contemporary twist to the traditional fitted, fit and flare, slim A-line, ballgown and trumpet silhouettes. Below is a sample of one of the carryover styles we ordered.
In addition to the Watters WToo collection, we also will be featuring the Watters Bridesmaids Collection in our boutique. We will have the entire Spring 2017 collection on hand and but will also be able to order any of other current bridesmaid dresses they offer here!
On the final day we were there, we shopped for accessories such as veils, belts and hair jewelry!

And keep in mind that we will only have a sampling of each designer's dresses in our shop on a daily basis, but if there is a style you are interested in that we do not have, please let us know prior to your appointment and we can request that style as a loaner dress from the company for you to try on!
